Hamilton Fraser Launches New Online Travel Insurance Facility

According to a survey published late last year, over 50% of Brits travelling abroad have failed to buy travel insurance*.
In a continued effort to expand the range of quality and affordable insurance products available to their clients Hamilton Fraser has launched a new online travel insurance facility.
Hamilton Fraser’s aim is to ensure that their customers can buy cover from someone they already know and trust, leaving them free to enjoy their holiday. Customers will be safe in the knowledge that they are protected by a policy that is backed by AXA, one of the UK’s largest Insurers.
As well as great value for money, the policy also offers flexibility. For a small additional cost customers can choose from additional benefits such as business travel, golf cover, cruise cover, wedding cover and independent travellers cover. The policy is available for either a single trip or on an annual multi-trip basis and with flexible policy excess options and generous age limits of 84 for single trip policies and 74 for annual multi-trips. Customers will be able to tailor their policy to suit their specific requirements.
Mike Glanvill, Business Delivery Director, welcoming the launch of the new travel insurance facility said:
“For many people the cost of travelling abroad is becoming more expensive each year so they look for ways in which they can save money, and sadly the first thing to go is often travel insurance. A medical emergency abroad can be horrendously expensive. According to information published by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the cost of being repatriated to the UK by air ambulance from the Canary Islands would be between £12,000 and £16,000 and naturally, the further afield you travel, the higher the costs become”
He continued:
“We felt that there was a need to make this cover as simple and convenient to arrange and as reasonably priced as possible for our customers so that they would no longer have to spend hours trawling the internet to find the best deal before buying cover with an insurer that they may not have heard of. Added to this the fact that you can choose to have your policy number and emergency contact details texted to your mobile before you travel, takes away the extra hassle of remembering where you put the policy!”.
