Hamilton Fraser, one of the market leaders in indemnity insurance for the aesthetic medicine industry, has announced the introduction of their new aesthetic & cosmetic professional liability insurance. The new policy will now provide more cover than ever before to protect doctors, nurses and dentists practising cosmetic treatments, all at no extra cost!
Starting from only £835 a year aesthetic practitioners will now be able to benefit from medical malpractice cover, products liability protection and work away public liability cover. The policy also provides personal accident protection, all under one simple policy contract.
This is in addition to the excellent standard features of the current policy including libel & slander, breach of professional confidentiality, data protection act defence costs, errors & omissions and loss of documents. Not only that but the policy also includes vital cover for disciplinary & coronial inquiry, criminal defence costs and corporate manslaughter costs.
Practitioners will be able to enjoy complete confidence in the extra cover available, but they will also be able to take advantage of reduced excesses for many treatments such as botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, where the excess has been halved from £500 to £250 for private practitioners.
The product, which is now one of the widest policies available in the UK, has also been designed to conform to the IHAS voluntary regulation for cosmetic treatments and will be issued with an improved, comprehensive and easy to read policy wording and summary of cover.
Welcoming the introduction of the upgraded policy, Eddie Hooker, Managing Director of Hamilton Fraser Insurance said: “The development of this policy is the direct result of consultation with our customers. Hamilton Fraser will be launching the improved insurance package to aesthetic practitioners in January 2009 and existing qualifying customers will automatically benefit from the improvements at their renewal.
