Press Release
This month Botox celebrates its 20th birthday and Hamilton Fraser has been there to protect medical practitioners who administer this revolutionary cosmetic treatment for the past 13 years.
The human use of botox was approved in 1989 and became licensed for medical use in the UK in May 1994. Hamilton Fraser began its scheme to protect medical practitioners shortly after in 1996.
Since then Hamilton Fraser has gone on to insure over 1,500 medical practitioners, protecting them against claims of malpractice and wrong doing.
Eddie Hooker, Managing Director of Hamilton Fraser, said:
“Over the past 13 years we have seen a significant increase in the number of practitioners using botulinum toxin and they way in which it can be used. Besides its cosmetic uses, the drug's muscle-freezing power has transformed the lives of many people with various medical conditions.
Over the years we have expanded the cover of our policy to cater for this ever changing market. We pride ourselves on being an insurance broker with a difference not only do we offer comprehensive cover at a competitive premium; we also take a keen interest in the industry and welcome the changes it brings. I look forward to seeing what happens in the next 20 years of botox”.
